The Higher League of the 71st Russian championship and the 68th Russian women's championship will take place in Yaroslavl from June 25 (arrival) till July 6 (departure) 2018.
The event is a 9-round Swiss tournament with one free day.
The match days: June 26-30 and July 2-5. July 1 is the tournament's free day. All rounds start at 3 p.m. (Moscow time).
The venue and the official hotel is Ring Premier Hotel.
Time control: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves then 30 minutes for the rest of the game with 30 seconds increment per move starting from the first.
Players are allowed to be late for their games for no more than 15 minutes. Draw negotiations before the move 40 are not permitted.
The total prize fund is 5,000,000 rubles.
Top 5 finishers in each tournament receive the right to play in the 2018 Russian Championships Superfinals.
