Alkaloid and Obiettivo Risarcimento Padova Lead European Club Cup

Fourth round games of the European Club Cup were played in Porto Carras. In the men's event, the Russian club Mednyi Vsadnik lost to Alkaloid 2.5-3.5. The Macedonian club is leading the race with 8 match points together with Obiettivo Risarcimento Padova. Mednyi Vsadnik and Molodezhka are 2 match points behind.
In the fifth round, the leading clubs will play against each other. Mednyi Vsadnik will face Schachgesellschaft Zurich, while Molodezhka's opponent is Echiquier Amaytois.
In the "A" group of the women's event, Ugra defeated Beer Sheva Chess Club 2.5-1.5. The leader is Georgian Nona with 8 match points. The Russian team is sharing 2-3 places with the Kyiv Chess Federation.
In the "B" group, the St. Petersburg players made a draw with ZSK Maribor. Cercle d'Echecs de Monte-Carlo is leading the pack with 8 match points, while SSHOR is trailing by 2 point.
