Savchenko and Kashlinskaya win the Moscow Rapid championships
The events took place at the RSSU.
The Moscow Rapid Championships started at the Russian State Social University on April 11. 37 men and 13 women competed for the main prizes.
Grandmaster Boris Savchenko won the men's event with 8/9. IM David Paravian was 1.5 points behind and took the second place. Grandmaster Vladimir Belous finished third with 6 points, surpassing GM Grogory Oparin, IM Mikhail Demidov, and IM Klimenty Sychev due to a better tie-break score.
WGM Alina Kashlinskaya and WIM Dina Drozdova both collected 7 points. Kashlinskaya became the champion due to a better tie-break. WFM Anna Gvantseladze took the third place with 6 points, surpassing WFM Anna Akopova with the same score.
