World Cadets Blitz Championship Concluded in Minsk

Russian players won nine medals including four gold ones.

The 3rd FIDE World Cadets Rapid and Blitz Championships among boys and girls under 8, 10 and 12 years finished in Minsk, Belarus, on August 18. 720 players from 36 countries took part in the events.

Russian young players won nine medals including four gold ones in the blitz tournament.

Final results

In total, the Russian chess players won 17 medals (6 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze ones) to take the first place in the unofficial team ranking. Belarus is second, while Kazakhstan is on the third place.
