WYCC Enters Final Straight in Uruguay

Two more rounds to play.

Nine rounds of the World Youth Championship among boys and girls under 14, 16 and 18 years old are played in Montevideo. 

Dambasuren Batsuren (Mongolia) is leading the U14 open group with 8 points scored. The Russian Arseniy Nesterov has got 5.5 points. Nurgyul Salmon (Bulgaria) has scored 7.5 points in the U14 girls’ event. Bibisara Assaubayeva is half a point behind. Elizaveta Solozhenkina and Kamaliya Bulatova have got 6.5 and 5.5 points respectively. 

Three participants, including Andrey Esipenko, are heading the race of the U16 open tournament with 7 points. Timur Fakhrutdinov has scored 6 points, while Artem Karpenko has got 5.5 points. Annie Wang (USA) maintains the leadership in the U16 girls’ group with 8.5 points. Polina Shuvalova is sharing 2-3 places with 7 points. Aleksandra Maltsevskaya has scored 6.5 points, while Anna Kochukova has got 6 points. 

Alexandr Triapishko (Russia) and Martinez Alcantara Jose Eduar (Peru) are leading the U18 open tournament with 7 points. Ivan Yeletsky is 1.5 points behind. Laura Unuk (Slovenia) is heading the U18 girls’ section with 8 points. Margarita Potapova and Alexandra Obolentseva both have scored 5 points.
