The 42nd World Chess Olympiad takes place on September 1-14 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Both open and women's tournaments are 11-round Swiss. The winners are determined according to the match points. Each team consists of four main players and one reserve.

Time control: 90 minutes plus 30 seconds per move for 40 moves, 30 minutes plus 30 seconds per move for the rest of the game.

Playing days: September 2-6 and 8-13. September 7 is a rest day.

Rounds 1-10 start at 2 pm msk, last round starts at 10 am msk.
