Alexandra Kosteniuk and Ju Wenjun Take the Lead at Cairns Cup
All games of Round 5 ended decisively.
The fifth round of the Cairns Cup in Saint Louis turned out to be the bloodiest one in the event. The leader Nana Dzagnidze lost to Humpy Koneru. Ju Wenjun outplayed Kateryna Lagno to take the lead together with Alexandra Kosteniuk who bested Mariya Muzychuk. Valentina Gunina beat Dronovalli Harika, while Carissa Yip scored her fist victory by defeating Irina Krush in the American derby.
