Alexandra Kosteniuk Takes the Lead at Cairns Cup
Three rounds of women's super tournament played in Saint Louis.

In the third round of the 2019 Cairns Cup in Saint Louis, Alexandra Kosteniuk (Russia) defeated Zhansaya Abdumalik (Kazakhstan) with Black to take the sole lead with 2.5 points out of 3. Another Russian player Valentina Gunina made a draw with Dronavalli Harika (India). In other games, Nana Dzagnidze (Georgia) beat Marie Sebag (France), Anna Zatonskikh (USA) won her game against Bela Khotenashvili (Georgia), while Elizabeth Paehtz (Germany) and Irina Krush (USA) made a draw.
