The European Women's Championship has ended in Petrovac. Meri Arabidze (Georgia) has become the winner with 8,5 points out of 11. The champion has landed ahead of Oliwia Kiolbasa thanks to the superior tie-break. The third place with 8 points is with Aleksandra Maltsevskaya (both from Poland).

Leya Garifullina has scored 7.5 points to finish eighth. However, the Russian is already eligible for the FIDE Women's World Cup following the outcome of the 2021 European Women's Championship. This is also true about a number of other participants who have finished high in Montenegro. Accordingly, the ninth ticket to Baku now goes to Alina Bivol, who has scored 7 points to add herself to the list of already qualified players.
