Anatoly Karpov Gives Simul in Tyumen Prison #2

And opens a chess club for the inmates.

The ex-World Champion Anatoly Karpov gave a simultaneous display on 24 boards in the Prison #2 of the Tyumen Region, which contains 2,255 prisoners, sentenced for grave crimes for the first time. 

The goal of Karpov's visit was opening a chess club for the prisoners. Together with Karpov, the prison was visited by Gennady Shaturov, Tyumen Regional Chess Federation Chairman, and Vyacheslav Kazantsev, head of the mobile chess center. 

The simul took two and a half hours. The ex-World Champion won all games, however, he complimented the level of play of his opponents.
