Andrey Filatov Awarded "Merited Coach of Russia" Title

Resolution by the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation (the Decree is attached) awards Andrey Filatov, head coach of the Russian men's national chess team and President of the Chess Federation of Russia, the title of "Merited Coach of Russia".
 
Andrey Filatov graduated from the Academy of Physical Education and Sports of the Republic of Belarus (nowadays known as the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture) in 1993 with a degree of physical education teacher and chess coach.

He has been working as head coach of the Russian men's national chess team since 2016. His guidance has led the men's team to bronze medals in the World Chess Olympiads in Baku (2016) and Batumi (2018), gold medals in the World Team Championship in Nur-Sultan (2019) and the European Team Championship in Batumi (2019), silver medals in the World Team Championship in Khanty-Mansiysk (2017) and the European Team Championship in Crete (2017). Besides, the Russian team won the FIDE Online Chess Olympiads on two occasions (in 2020 and 2021).
