Andrey Filatov Vaccinated Against COVID-19 with Russian Sputnik V

The CFR President consulted with doctors before the procedure.


Andrey Filatov, President of the Chess Federation of Russia, got inoculated against COVID-19 with the Russian vaccine Sputnik V. He gave a short comment to TASS about it.  

Andrey Filatov underlined that he had consulted with doctors and specialists before getting vaccinated. 

"I've got vaccinated today," said the CFR President. "It was the Russian vaccine Sputnik V."

On August 11, Russia became the first country to register the vaccine against COVID-19, which was called Sputnik V. The vaccine was developed by the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Honorary Academician N.F. Gamaleya of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
