Anton Korobov Takes the Lead at Superbet Rapid & Blitz in Bucharest
Six rounds are over.
Rounds 4-6 of the rapid part of the 2019 Superbet Rapid & Blitz, the sixth stage of the Grand Chess Tour, were played in Bucharest on November 7.
Anton Korobov has taken the sole lead with 9 points (there are 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw). Anish Giri is 1 point behind. Fabiano Caruana and Viswanathan Anand have got 7 points.
On the second playing day, the Russian Vladislav Artemiev made a draw with Levon Aronian and then defeated Anish Giri and Fabiano Caruana. Now he is sharing 5-6 places with Levon Aronian with 6 points scored. Sergey Karjakin is trailing by 2 points.
On November 8, the participants will play the final 3 rounds of rapid chess.
