Arkady Dvorkovich, FIDE President, member of the CFR's Board of Trustees, turns 50 on the 26th of March. His father, Vladimir Dvorkovich, was a well-known chess arbiter, who largely contributed to the foundation of the Russian arbiters' school, while his son has been helping develop chess in our country for many years and was heading the Chess Federation of Russian for eight years. His mother, Galina Dvorkovich, is the Head of the CFR's Veterans Commission.

Thanks to Mr. Dvorkovich's endeavours, such a prestigious event as Tal Memorial appeared in Russia, and an edifice of the country's tournaments was organised.

In 2018, Arkady Dvorkovich won the FIDE presidential elections in a tough struggle. The years of his presidentship have seen many severe tests, including the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions related to it. Nevertheless, FIDE and its head managed to organise various spectacular events: Candidates Tournaments, World Cups, World Championship Matches, two Online Olympiads, and many others.

We wish Mr. Dvorkovich good health, optimism, and energy to undertake new projects for the benefit of chess!
