Boris Gelfand Catches Up With Ian Nepomniachtchi at Gideon Japhet Cup

A big chess festival in memory of Gideon Japhet is taking place in Jerusalem. Rounds 5 and 6 were played in the main rapid double round-robin tournament (time control: 15+10). Boris Gelfand (Israel) won two games against Peter Svidler (Russia). Georg Meier (Germany) outplayed Vassily Ivanchuk (Ukraine) 1.5-0.5. Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia) and Anna Muzychuk (Ukraine) made two draws.
