Grandmaster Alexander Rakhmanov Helps Cherepovets Seniors Learn Chess

First lessons took place on October 26.

Grandmaster chess club in Cherepovets, Vologda Region, launched a social project Chess for Seniors, aimed at teaching elder people chess. 

The project is organized by grandmaster Alexander Rakhmanov. He already carried out the first the first sessions, teaching chess rules and basics, tactical and strategic ideas, as well as some endgame knowledge. Two groups of seniors will study chess until the mid-December, and will participate in a specially organized rapid chess tournament in the end of the year.

The Chess for Seniors social project is carried out with a direct support of the Garant Center of Social  Technology (Archangelsk) and Charitable Foundation of Elena and Gennady Timchenko.
