Eight Rounds Played at World Youth Championships

The eighth round of the World Youth Championships among boys and girls under 14, 16, and 18 years old was played in Greece on October 27. 

In the U14 open group, the leader is Pedro Antonio Gines Esteo (Spain) with 7.5 points. Dmitry Tsoi and Volodar Murzin are 2 points behind. In the girls' tournament, Ning Kaiyu (China) is heading the race with 7.5 points. Leya Garifullina and Eva Stepanyan have got 6 points. 

In the U16 open event, Shant Sargsyan (Armenia) is maintaining the leadership with 6.5 points. Andrey Esipenko has scored 7 points. Jovana Srdanovic (Serbia) is leading the pack in the U16 girls' event with 6 points. Aleksandra Maltsevskaya is trailing by half a point. 

Viktor Gazik (Slovakia) took the lead in the U18 open tournament with 6.5 points. Alexandr Triapishko has scored 6 points. In the U18 girls' tournament, Polina Shuvalova (Russia) is heading the race with 7.5 points.
