European School Championships Finished in Budva

Russian players won 16 medals.  

European School Chess Championship took place in Budva (Montenegro) from June 10 to June 20. Boys and girls were competing separately in 6 different age categories: Under 7, Under 9, Under 11, Under 13,  Under 15 and Under 17. 340 young chess players from 22 countries took part in the event.

B11 - 1. Zeki Berke Caputcuoglu (Turkey) - 7,5, 2. Yahor Silich (Belarus) - 7,5, 3. Alexey Vasilyev (Russia) - 6,5;

G11 - 1. Evita Cherepanova - 7, 2. Emilia Zavivaeva (both - Russia) - 7, 3. Gulenay Aydin (Turkey) - 6,5;

B13 - 1. Maksim Zhukov (Russia) - 7, 2. Enes Tanriverdi (Turkey) - 7, 3. Dmitry Kirillov (Russia) - 6,5;

G13 - 1. Doga Esma Duran (Turkey) - 6,5, 2. Leyre Zudaire Abrisqueta (Spain) - 6,5, 3. Anna Zhurova (Russia) - 6;

B15 - 1. Nikoloz Petriashvili (Georgia) - 6,5, 2. Sahil Mehraliyev (Azerbaijan) - 6,5, 3. Artem Trubchaninov (Russia) - 6,5;

G15 - 1. Michelle Katkov (Israel) - 6,5, 2. Sevil Tahirova (Azerbaijan) - 6,5, 3. Ksenia Strukova (Russia) - 6;  

B17 - 1. Timur Trubchaninov (Russia) - 6 points out of 7, 2. Can Efe Tepe (Turkey) - 5, 3. Kanan Ahadzade (Azerbaijan) - 5;

G17 - 1. Sena Bengu Ayan - 5,5 points out of 7, 2. Poyraz Dursun (both - Turkey) - 5, 3. Pada Danilova (Russia) - 5.
