Evgenija Ovod and Elena Tomilova Lead Russian Women's Championship Higher League

The third round of the Russian Championship Higher League was played in Yaroslavl. Eight chess players are leading the race in the open section with 2.5 points out of 3. The games Inarkiev - Popov, Timofeev - Sjugirov, Motylev - Oparin, and Sarana - Khismatullin will be played in round 4.
In the women tournament, Evgenija Ovod and Elena Tomilova won all 3 games and will face each other in round 4. The games Gritsayeva - Galliamova and Potapova - Vasilevich will be played in the chase group.
