The festive handicap event in the Dvorkovich Saloon

Vladimir Fedoseev took the first place

The handicap tournament for the Russian Army Day was held in the Chess Saloon named after Vladimir Dvorkovich. It gathered 54 participants.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Moscow Chess Federation President Vladimir Palikhata and its First Vice-President Nikita Kim. Mr. Kim received a medal for chess promotion and his active work in preparation for the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Second World War from grandmaster Evgeny Vasiukov, the founder and organizer of the handicap tournaments in Moscow.

Vladimir Fedoseev took the first place with 8 out of 9. The second place was shared by Daniil Dubov and Vadim Zvyagintsev with 7 points, Dubov's better tie-break gave him the second prize.

Evgeny Dragomaretsky, who finished 6th, won a nice cup as the Senior's prize. Oleg Zilbert was second only to a worse tie-break score. Evgeny Kalegin was third among the Seniors.

The women's first prize went to Galina Strutinskaya, who scored 5.5 points. Irina Vasilevsih was second, Evgeniya Ovod finished third.

Tatiana Bogumil showed the best result among the Women Seniors and received a special prize. Elena Fatalibekova finished second in this section, Rimma Bilunova was third.

A special prize was also awarded to Grigory Osipov, the member of the Seniors Committee of the RCF, and the Academic Secretary of the Academy of Russian Literature, who recently turned 70.
