First Games of Russian Cup Finals Played in Khanty-Mansiysk
Return encounters are ahead.
The first games of round 1 of the Russian Cup Finals among men and women are played in Khanty-Mansiysk. In the women’s section, Baira Kovanova defeated Margarita Schepetkova, Elmira Mirzoeva lost to Sandugach Shaydullina. The games Makarenko - Belenkaya and Maltsevskaya - Tomilova ended in a draw.
In the open event, Kirill Alekseenko bested Daniil Lintchevski, Dmitry Gordievsky outplayed Dmitry Frolyanov, Dmitry Jakovenko converted his material edge in the game against Aleksandr Triapishko, David Paravyan defeated Maksim Chigaev, while Alexandr Predke won a dramatic game against Evgeny Shaposhnikov. The games Grachev - Golubov, Kokarev - Moiseenko and Ponkratov - Lomasov were drawn.
The return games will take place on December 6 at 10 a.m. (Moscow time). The tie-breaks will be played, if the score is equal.
