Five Rounds of Ascension Tournament Played in Sochi
Leaders strengthen their position
In round 5 of the all-Russian championship for orphanages and boarding schools "Ascension" in Sochi, the team of the boarding school №26 (Ryazan Oblast) defeated the players of Tsagan Aman sanatorium boarding school (Kalmykia) 4-0. The leaders have scored 17.5 points.
The team of Cossack cadet corps named after O. Gorodovnikov (Kalmykia) is 2 points behind. Lyulpansky Center (Mari El) has got 15 points.
On March 12, the head coach of the Russian national junior chess team Mikhail Kobalia met with participants and their accompanying persons. The grandmaster gave a simultaneous exhibition as well. The score is 49.5-0.5 in favour of Kobalia. Maxim Shamray (Lyulpansky Center, Mari El) managed to make a draw.
