Gibraltar to Host Final Leg of FIDE Women's Grand Prix

The event will be held on January 17-29.

The International Chess Federation has announced that Gibraltar will host the final stage of the Women’s FIDE Grand Prix, to be played in January 17-29, 2021. 

The lineup is as follows: 

Humpy Koneru (India), Nana Dzagnidze (Georgia), Kateryna Lagno, Alina Kashlinskaya, Valentina Gunina (all from Russia), Anna Muzychuk, Mariya Muzychuk (both from Ukraine), Ju Wenjun, Zhao Xue (both from China), Elisabeth Paehtz (Germany), Antoaneta Stefanova (Bulgaria), and Marie Sebag (France).

Aleksandra Goryachkina has taken the lead in the FIDE WGP Series having scored 398 points. She is followed by Humpy Koneru (293), Alexandra Kosteniuk (193), Nana Dzagnidze (180), Kateryna Lagno (180), and Harika Dronavalli (180). The Russians Aleksandra Goryachkina and Alexandra Kosteniuk have already finished their performance in the Series.
