Harika Dronavalli Wins FIDE Online Blitz Championship

The final stage of the women's championship took place in Rome, Italy.

The capital of Italy hosted the final stage of the  1st FIDE World Online Women Blitz Championship. This was a double round round-robin tournament with Alexandra Kosteniuk, Valentina Gunina, Irina Vasilevich (all from Russia), Nana Dzagnidze, Sofio Gvetadze (both from Georgia), Harika Dronavalli, Rout Padmini (both from India), Olga Zimina (Italy), Adriana Nikolova (Bulgaria) and Sabina Foisor (USA). 

Harika Dronavalli and Nana Dzagnidze collected 13.5 points in 18 games. The Indian grandmaster became a champion due to a better tie-break score. Alexandra Kosteniuk took the 3rd place, Valentina Gunina was 4th.
