Higher League Starts On June 21 In Kolomna
The highest rated players are Maxim Matlakov and Alina Kashlinskaya.
The Russian Higher League tournaments for men and women is about to start in Kolomna (Moscow Region). The players will arrive on June 21, and depart on July 2.
The games will be played in the Kolomna Ice-Skating Center. The prize fund is 5,000,000 roubles. June 26 is a day off, the rounds on other days begin at 3 pm.
Time control: 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes for the rest of the game, plus 30 bonus seconds per each move. The players who are late for their games for more than 15 minutes will be forfeited. Draw negotiations earlier than move 40 are not permitted.
At the moment 59 players are registered for the men's event, and 50 players are going to participate in the women's event.
The highest rated players are Maxim Matlakov (2691, St. Petersburg) and Alina Kashlinskaya (2467, Moscow).
