International Chess Festival Begins in Prague
Nikita Vitiugov and Andrey Esipenko participate in main events.
First games of the Prague Chess Festival, which includes several tournaments, were played on February 12.
In the Masters event, the Russian Nikita Vitiugov defeated David Anton Guijarro, Santosh Vidit outplayed Samuel Shankland, while Jan-Krzysztof Duda beat David Navara. The games Grandelius - Harikrishna and Firouzja - Ragger were drawn.
Another Russian player Andrey Esipenko is taking part in the Challengers tournament, where the only game that ended decisively was the Stefansson - Kriebel encounter.
