Ju Wenjun and Valentina Gunina Lead FIDE Women's Grand Prix Leg

The fourth round of the FIDE Women's Grand Prix leg was played in the Skolkovo business centre on September 14. Women's world champion Ju Wenjun (China) defeated Marie Sebag (France) as White and joined the leader Valentina Gunina (Russia) who made a draw with Pia Cramling (Sweden). 

Alina Kashlinskaya (Russia) beat Dronavalli Harika (India), while the games Kosteniuk - Koneru, Goryachkina - Lagno, and Stefanova - Paehtz were drawn.  



Valentina Gunina and Ju Wenjun are leading the race with 3 points out of 4. Aleksandra Goryachkina and Humpy Koneru are half a point behind.

Round 5 pairings: 

Paehtz - Ju Wenjun, Gunina - Stefanova, Lagno - Cramling, Koneru - Goryachkina, Harika - Kosteniuk, Sebag - Kashlinskaya. 

The games start at 3 p.m. The final 11th round will begin at 11 a.m. (Moscow time).

The prize fund is 80,000 euros.

A vast additional program will be held during the tournament.
