Leinier Dominguez Loses in Round 7 But Still Leads Masters Tournament in Netanya

The International Chess Festival is going on in Netanya. In the Masters Tournament, four games out of five were decisive. Leinier Dominguez (USA) lost to Luke McShane (England) but he still maintains the sole leadership as his pursuer Daniil Dubov (Russia), in his turn, was defeated by Pavel Eljanov (Ukraine). Ilia Smirin (Israel) beat Peter Svidler (Russia), while Maxim Rodshtein (Israel) bested his compatriot Tamir Nabaty. The game Postny - Gelfand was drawn.

1. Leinier Dominguez - 4.5
2-5. Ilia Smirin, Luke McShane, Boris Gelfand, Daniil Dubov - 4
6-7. Maxim Rodshtein, Tamir Nabaty - 3.5
8. Pavel Eljanov - 3
9. Peter Svidler - 2.5
10. Evgeny Postny - 2. 



The Open event is led by Mikhail Antipov (Russia) who defeated Dmitry Svetushkin (Moldova) to head the race with 6.5 points. Seven players are 1 point behind.
