Magnus Carlsen and Wesley So Exchange Blows in FTX Crypto Cup Final

Ian Nepomniachtchi and Teimour Radjabov started with draws.


The final and the third place match started at the FTX Crypto Cup, the 6th event on the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour with the prize fund of $320k and sponsors FTX providing a $100k Bitcoin bonus, on May 30. 

In the final match, Magnus Carlsen won the first game against Wesley So, the second one ended in a draw, while the American stroke back in the third encounter. After a draw in the fourth game, the score is equal: 2-2. 

Ian Nepomniachtchi and Teimour Radjabov made four draws in the third place match.
