Magnus Carlsen won the first (classical) part of the Fischer Random match with Hikaru Nakamura 9-7 (the score for these games is 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and zero for a loss). It didn't do without surprise - in the final game, the world champion was trying hard to win the "rook and bishop vs. rook" position, but Nakamura was precise in defense. The opponents made 50 moves and then the Norwegian lost on time.

On February 13, another eight games will be played at a faster time control: 10 minutes and five seconds increment for each move. The score will be one point for a win, half a point for a draw and zero for a loss.
