Oksana Gritsayeva Leads Russian Women's Higher League
Alexey Sarana and Grigoriy Oparin head the open event.
The eighth round of the Russian Championship Higher League was played in Yaroslavl. Grigoriy Oparin and Alexey Sarana are leading the race in the open tournament with 6 points. Vadim Zvjaginsev, Kirill Alekseenko, Ernesto Inarkiev, Mikhail Kobalia, and Denis Khismatullin are half a point point behind.
The leaders' games in final ninth round will be as follows: Alekseenko - Oparin, Sarana - Kobalia, Khismatullin - Zvjaginsev, and Inarkiev - Motylev.
Oksana Gritsayeva is the sole leader of the women's tournament with 6.5 points. Elena Tomilova and Anastasiya Protopopova are trailing by half a point, while Alisa Galliamova, Anastasia Bodnaruk, and Dinara Dordzhieva are one point behind.
The encounters Dordzhieva - Gritsayeva, Bodnaruk - Tomilova, and Protopopova - Galliamova will take place in the final rounds.
