RCF Coaching Council Meeting Takes Place in Central Chess Club

Preparation for 2020 Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk is a key subject.


The RCF Coaching Council meeting was held in the Central Chess Club in Moscow on February 12. RCF President, Head coach of the Russian national chess team Andrey Filatov, Head coach of the Russian national women's chess team Sergei Rublevsky, RCF Executive Director Mark Glukhovsky, grandmasters Sergey Janovsky (Chairman of the Council), Alexander Motylev, Vladimir Potkin, Yury Dokhoian, Mikhail Kobalia, Yuri Yakovich, Alexander Riazantsev (via Skype), and Manager of Russian national teams Artem Pugachev took part in the meeting.

As it is known, the year of 2019 is full of various chess event of the highest level, such as the World and European Team Championships, Women's Candidates Tournament, World Cup, FIDE Grand Prix legs, etc. The Russian chess players are going to participate in all of the above listed and many other tournaments. Experienced specialists discussed a whole host of issues connected with the preparation of the national teams' members and reserve players. Preparation of three men's and three women's teams for the 2020 Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk is a key subject.
