Round 4 of Russian Championships Higher League Played in Yaroslavl

The fourth round games of the Russian Championships Higher League were played in Yaroslavl on June 30. Alexandr Predke is leading the race in the open section with 3.5 points out of 4. David Paravyan, Maksim Chigaev, Andrey Esipenko, Alexey Sarana, Ilia Iljushenok, and Denis Khismatullin are half a point behind. The following games will be played in the fifth round: Predke - Paravyan, Esipenko - Chigaev, Iljushenok - Khismatullin, and Sarana - Fedoseev (2.5 points).

Elena Tomilova is heading the women's section with a perfect score. Zarina Shafigullina is trailing by half a point. Polina Shuvalova, Anastasia Bodnaruk, Daria Charochkina, Marina Guseva, Ekaterina Kovalevskaya, Dinara Dordzhieva, Anastasiya Protopopova, Ekaterina Borisova, and Margarita Potapova have scored 3 points each. The games Tomilova - Shafigullina, Bodnaruk - Charochkina, Dordzhieva - Shuvalova, Kovalevskaya - Borisova, Protopopova - Guseva, and Gritsayeva (2.5 points) - Potapova will be played in Round 5.
