Round 6 Games of the Russian Higher League Are Played in Krasnaya Polyana

There are no sole leaders in both tournaments.

In the open section of the Russian Championship Higher League the game of the leaders Sergey Volkov and Evgeny Romanov finished in a draw after a long and dramatic battle. Sanan Sjugirov took advantage of it by outplaying Evgeny Levin with Black and has become one of the leaders. The leaders' games of round 7: Sjugirov (4.5) - Volkov (4.5), Romanov (4.5) - Rakhmanov (4), Matlakov - Shimanov, Najer - Moiseenko, Dubov - Alekseev, Zvjaginsev - Oparin, Ponkratov - Dreev (all have got 4 points), Motylev (3.5) - Duzhakov (4).  



In the women's event Alina Kashlinskaya unexpectedly quickly won against Polina Shuvalova. Marina Nechaeva defeated Alisa Galliamova, Olga Girya outplayed Elena Tomilova. The leaders are Kashlinskaya and Nechaeva (both have scored 5 points). Shuvalova and Girya have got 4.5 points. In round 6 the followig games will be played: Kashlinskaya-Nechaeva and Shuvalova-Girya. In a 4-points group the sceptators will see the following encounters: Assaubayeva-Belenkaya, Gritsayeva-Ovod, Vasilevich-Dordzhieva and Savina-Ubiennykh.
