Round 6 of Magnus Carlsen Invitational Starts on Chess24.com
The world champion snatched victory against Ian Nepomniachtchi.
The sixth round of the Magnus Carlsen Invitational began on Chess24.com on April 28.
After the loss in the previous match, the world champion Magnus Carlsen had another tough encounter. Having suffered an overwhelming defeat in the first game, Carlsen managed to get back into the game by winning the third battle. The Norwegian had White in the sudden death game and defeated his opponent in a tricky endgame. The score is 3-2 in favour of Carlsen.
In the second match, Alireza Firouzja upset Anish Giri by beating him 2.5-1.5.
