Russia defeats Egypt at the World Teams
Our team plays Israel in the final round.
In the penultimate round of the World Team Championship Russia defeated Egypt 3.5-0.5 (wins by Tomashevsky, Jakovenko, and Vitiugov, draw by Grischuk). Our matches: Cuba-China 1-3, Ukraine-USA 1.5-2.5, India-Armenia 1.5-2.5, Israel-Hungary 2-2.
Standings before the final round:
1. China 13 (20 board points), 2. Ukraine 11 (19), 3. Armenia 9 (15.5), 4-7. Russia 8 (18), Israel 8 (17), USA 8 (16.5), Hungary 8 (15), 8-9. Cuba 7 (15.5), India 7 (15), 10. Egypt 1 (8.5).
The final round starts at 10 am Moscow time.
