Russia loses to Armenia at the World Teams
Ukraine and China are still in the lead.
In the round 7 of the World Team Championship in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia, Russia lost to Armenia 1.5-2.5 and fell to the 8th place. Three games were drawn, and Sergey Karjakin lost to Gabriel Sargissian.
Cuba lost to India 1.5-2.5, China and Ukraine made a draw, USA defeated Israel 2.5-1.5, Hungary won against Egypt 2.5-1.5.
Standings after the round 7:
1-2. Ukraine and China – both 11, 3-7. Israel, Cuba, India, Armenia, and Hungary – all 7, 8-9. Russia and USA – both 6, 10. Egypt – 1.
In the round 8 Russia plays with Egypt.
