Russian National Team Wins 10th World Chess Composition Tournament

Ukraine is second, Germany is third. 

Preliminary results of the 10th World Chess Composition Tournament (WCCT) 2013-2015 are published. The Russian national team has scored 125 points to win the tournament being 1.5 points ahead of the Ukrainian team. Germany came third with 114.5 points. In total 38 countries participated in the tournament with 684 compositions in eight sections (Twomovers, Threemovers, Moremovers, Studies, etc).  

The following team members have become the World Champions: Pavel Murashev (Khimki), Alexander Feoktistov (Domodedovo), Alexander Kuzovkov (Reutov), Oleg Pervakov (Moscow), Valery Gurov (Moscow), Andrey Selivanov (Moscow), Valery Shanshin (Tula), Valery Shavyrin (Yekaterinburg), Grigory Popov (Belgorod), Mikhail Gromov (Vladimir), Pavel Arestov (Krasnogorsk), Vitaly Medintsev (Krasnodar), Boris Shorokhov (Ramenskoe), Alexander Azhusin (Tver), Igor Agapov (Izhevsk), Lev Grolman (Kazan), Vladislav Nefedov (Chelyabinsk), and Rustam Ibaydullayev (Moscow).

Let us note that the Russian national team has won the WCCT for the fifth time in a row.
