Russian Team Defeats China in Round 3 of World Team Championships

The third round of the 2019 World Team Championships was played in Astana on March 7. In the open section, the Russian team won the key match against China 2.5-1.5 (Ian Nepomniachtchi won, Sergey Karjakin, Alexander Grischuk, and Vladislav Artemiev made draws).

Other results: Iran - Sweden 3.5-0.5, Egypt - India 0.5-3.5, England - USA 2-2, Kazakhstan - Azerbaijan 2-2.

Russian women's team crushed Egyptian chess players 4-0 (Alexandra Kosteniuk, Valentina Gunina, Aleksandra Goryachkina, and Olga Girya won their games).
