Russian Women's Team Crushes Poland 4-0 in Round 7 of European Championship

Russians drew with Germany in the open event.


The seventh round of the European Team Championships was played in Batumi on October 31. 

The Russian women's team crushed Poland 4-0 (Aleksandra Goryachkina, Kateryna Lagno, Valentina Gunina, and Alina Kashlinskaya celebrated victories). Team Georgia 1 made a draw with Azerbaijan, while Ukraine defeated the second Georgian team 2.5-1.5. 

Standings after round 7:

1. Russia - 13 match points out of 14, 2. Georgia - 11, 3-5. Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Armenia - 10.

Pairings of the eighth round in the leading group are as follows: Armenia - Russia, Georgia 1 - Ukraine, France - Azerbaijan.  



In the open section, the Russian national team made a draw with Germany (Daniil Dubov won, Kirill Alekseenko and Maxim Matlakov made draws, while Nikita Vitiugov lost). In other leaders' matches England won against Armenia 2.5-1.5, while Ukraine crushed the Czech Republic 3.5-0.5.

Standings after round 7:

1. Russia - 12 match points out of 14, 2-4. Ukraine, England, Germany - 11.

Round 8 pairings in the leading group are England - Russia, Ukraine - Germany, Croatia - Slovenia.
