Second Leg of FIDE Grand Prix Begins in Belgrade

First games will be played on 1 March.


The second leg of the FIDE Grand Prix Series will be held in the capital of Serbia from 28 February to 14 March. Sixteen participants were divided into four groups.

At the group stage, the participants will compete in four double-round-robin tournaments, with only the winners of each pool advancing. The group stage is followed by a knockout semi-final and final. Both the semi-finals and final will consist of two games, plus tiebreaks, if needed.

Schedule: 28 February - Opening ceremony, 1-4 and 6-8 March - group stage, 9-13 March - play-off, 14 March - tie-break, if needed, and the Closing ceremony.

The games will start at 5 PM Moscow time.
