Shakhriyar Mamedyarov and Fabiano Caruana Lead the Race in Berlin

On March 16, the sixth round of the FIDE Candidates Tournament was played in Berlin. Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (Azerbaijan) defeated Vladimir Kramnik (Russia), Wesley So (USA) outplayed Levon Aronian (Armenia), while the games Caruana (USA) - Grischuk (Russia) and Ding Liren (China) - Karjakin (Russia) were drawn. 



Standings after round 6:

1-2. Fabiano Caruana, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov – 4 
3-5. Vladimir Kramnik, Alexander Grischuk, Ding Liren – 3
6-7. Levon Aronian, Wesley So – 2.5 
8. Sergey Karjakin – 2.

March 17 is the tournament's free day.

Round 7 pairings: 

Grischuk - Mamedyarov, Kramnik - Ding Liren, Karjakin - So, Aronian - Caruana.
