ShSM and Mednyi Vsadnik Set Pace at the Russian Team Championship Premier League

Yugra tops the women's event.


The Russian Team Championship Premier League resumed in the Grand Hotel Zhemchuzhina, Sochi, after the first rest day.

Round 3 results:

SShOR ShSh (Saint Petersburg) - M. Botvinnik School (Moscow) 1.5-4.5
Moscow Chess Team - KPRF Sports Club (Moscow) 3.5-2.5
Mednyi Vsadnik (Saint Petersburg) - Ladya (Tatarstan) 3.5-2.5
Southern Ural (Chelyabinsk Oblast) - Gogolevsky, 14 (Moscow) 2.5-3.5.

Standings after Round 3:

Yugra won against Southern Ural-1 (Chelyabinsk Oblast) 3-1 in the key match of the women's event to take the sole lead. Olga Girya defeated Olga Badelka, Marina Guseva bested Ekaterina Goltseva, while the games Pogonina - Gunina and Garifullina - Maltsevskaya were drawn.

1. Yugra - 8 (12), 2. Moscow Chess Team - 6 (11), 3. Southern Ural-1 - 6 (10.5), 4. Ladya - 6 (9.5), etc.

The central matches of the fifth round are Ladya - Yugra and Moscow Chess Team - Southern Ural-1.  

Inleksis (Voronezh Oblast) and the Russian Seniors' Team keep leading the race in the Higher League with 7 match points scored. Six teams are 1 point behind.
