Wesley So Wins Bilbao Masters
The American defeated Anish Giri on tie-break.
In the 6th round of the Bilbao Masters Welsey So drew with Anish Giri, and Ding Liren drew with Vishy Anand.
While Ding Liren and Vishy Anand continued their classical game, Anish Giri and Wesley So contested the main prize on tie-break. The American won the first game and managed to survive in the second one, thus winning the Bilbao Masters tournament.
Final standings:
1. Wesley So, 2. Anish Giri – both 8, 3-4. Vishy Anand, Ding Liren – both 5.
