Students' Tournaments Finished at Moscow Open-2019 in RSSU

The winners are Alexey Mokshanov and Polina Shuvalova.

National Students' League competitions finished in the Russian State Social University on Fabruary 2. 

Alexey Mokshanov (Samara National Research University, Samara) won the open event with 7.5 points out of 9. Alexey Sarana (2nd place, Ural State Mining University, Yekaterinburg) and Vladimir Fotin (3rd place, Perm National Research Polytechnic University, Perm) shared 2-3 places with 7 points.

Polina Shuvalova (Ural State Mining University, Yekaterinburg) won the girls' tournament with a perfect score - 9 points out of 9. Daria Khokhlova (Southwest State University, Kursk) is second with 7 points. Alexandra Alieva (Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport, Youth and Tourism-1, Moscow) won bronze with 6.5 points. 

The penultimate eighth round of the main tournaments of the XV International RSSU Chess Cup Мoscow Open-2019 was played on February 2 as well. Having defeated Semen Khanin, Boris Savchenko took the sole lead with 7 points in a stage of the Russian Cup. Sanan Sjugirov and Igor Lysyj are half a point behind. 

Ekaterina Goltseva and Anastasia Bodnaruk are sharing the first place in the women's tournament with 7 points. Oksana Gritsayeva is trailing by half a point. 

Evgenij Kalegin, Evgeny Sveshnikov, Alexander Filipenko, Evgeni Dragomarezkij, and Viktor Volodin are leading seniors' event with 6.5 points. Lidia Malinicheva is heading the race in senior women's tournament with 7 points.
