Team of Kurchatov School Wins Belaya Ladya Final

Schoolchildren from Kazan took the third place.

The final stage of the All-Russian school team competition Belaya Ladya finished on the  https://play.ruchess.ru/ website. On October 2, the final and the 3rd place matches were played.

The team from the Kurchatov school (Moscow) defeated General secondary school №83 (Novosibirsk region) 4-0 in the final to become the winner of the tournament. The team consisted of Savva Vetokhin, Alexander Titov, Andrey Kim, and Daria Novikova.

In the match for the third place, the pupils of the School №18 (Republic of Tatarstan) bested General secondary school №104 (Chelyabinsk region) to gain bronze medals.

The competition was supported by the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Charitable Foundation, the Federal Grid Company Unified Energy System (FGC UES), and PhosAgro.

Belaya Ladya was accompanied by the final event of the Chess in Schools project titled Debut, as well as by simuls, master classes, seminars and a conference.
