Teimour Radjabov Wins FIDE Grand Prix Leg in Geneva

Shakhriyar Mamedyarov is the first in the overall ranking.

The third leg of the FIDE Grand Prix finished in Geneva. In round 9, Peter Svidler outplayed Hou Yifan, while Levon Aronian defeated Saleh Salem. The games Nepomniachtchi-Radjabov, Giri-Grischuk, Mamedyarov-Li Chao, Riazantsev-Adams, Harikrishna-Jakovenko, Inarkiev-Gelfand, and Eljanov-Rapport were drawn.

1. Radjabov - 6 points out of 9
2-3. Grischuk, Nepomniachtchi - 5.5 
4-10. Mamedyarov, Giri, Svidler, Harikrishna, Adams, Li Chao, Riazantsev - 5
11-14. Aronian, Eljanov, Gelfand, Jakovenko - 4.5

16-17. Rapport, Hou Yifan - 2.5

The leader of the GP Series after 3 legs is Shakhriyar Mamedyarov who has scored 340 points. Alexander Grischuk is second with 336.4 points. These grandmasters have already finished their performance in the Series. Teimour Radjabov (241.4), Ding Liren (240), and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (211.4) have one more tournament to play in. All other participants have lost their chances to qualify to the Candidates Tournament from the Grand Prix
