Third Leg of FIDE Women's Grand Prix Starts in Lausanne

Russia is represented by Aleksandra Goryachkina, Alenxadra Kosteniuk and Alina Kashlinskaya.


The third leg of the FIDE Women's Grand Prix Series will be played in Lausanne, Switzerland, on March 1-13. 

Line-up: Ju Wenjun (2583, China), Aleksandra Goryachkina (2579, Russia), Mariya Muzychuk (2551, Ukraine), Anna Muzychuk (2535, Ukraine), Dronavalli Harika (2517, India), Nana Dzagnidze (2509, Georgia), Alina Kashlinskaya (2485, Russia), Alexandra Kosteniuk (2482, Russia), Pia Cramling (2475, Sweden), Zhansaya Abdumalik (2461, Kazakhstan), Antoaneta Stefanova (2453, Bulgaria), and Marie Sebag (2443, France).

Round 1 pairings:

Goryachkina - Kashlinskaya, Kosteniuk - Dzagnidze, Abdumalik - Ju Wenjun, Stefanova - Sebag, Harika - Cramling, A. Muzychuk - M. Muzychuk.

The match days: March 2-7 and 9-13. The games start at 5 pm (Moscow time), the last round begins at 2:30 pm (Moscow time). 

It is to be reminded that Humpy Koneru (India) is leading the Series after two WGP events with 293 points. Aleksandra Goryachkina (Russia) is second with 253 points. They are followed by the Russians Kateryna Lagno (180) and Alexandra Kosteniuk (178).
