Trio Leads Tata Steel Chess Again

On January 24, round 10 of the Masters tournament of Tata Steel Chess was played in Groningen.   

Shakhriyar Mamedyarov smashed Peter Svidler in 21 moves, Magnus Carlsen defeated Wesley So, Vladimir Kramnik outplayed Maxim Matlakov, while Viswanathan Anand bested Gawain Jones. The games Giri - Karjakin, Wei Yi - Caruana and Hou Yifan - Adhiban were drawn. 

Standings after round 10:

1-3. Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Magnus Carlsen, Anish Giri - 7 
4. Vladimir Kramnik - 6.5 
5. Viswanathan Anand - 6 
6-7. Wesley So, Sergey Karjakin - 5.5 
8. Peter Svidler - 4.5 
9-12. Maxim Matlakov, Gawain Jones, Wei Yi, Fabiano Caruana - 4 
13. Baskaran Adhiban - 3 
14. Hou Yifan - 2.

January 25 is the tournament's free day.

Santosh Vidit and Anton Korobov are leading Tata Steel Challengers with 7 points our of 10. The Russians Dmitry Gordievsky and Olga Girya have scored 5.5 and 3 points respectively.
