Ugra Governor Made First Moves in Matches of Russian Teams

Natalya Komarova and Andrey Filatov also visited the rapid tournament. 

On June 18, the second round of the World Team Chess Championships is taking place in Khanty-Mansiysk. The Russian men’s team is playing against Turkey, while the Russian women’s opponent is Vietnam.  

The Governor of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra Natalya Komarova and FIDE Vice-President Javier Ochoa made the first symbolic moves in Vietnam vs. Russia match. Natalya Komarova also gave a start in the game Svidler - Solak. 

After the official part, the Governor of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra Natalya Komarova, RCF President, FIDE Vice-President Andrey Filatov, President of Ugra Chess Federation Vasily Filipenko, and Director of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra Igor Gubkin visited the rapid tournament, which is being held as part of the WTCC.
